Country Inn & Suites

Our day started out with Chip and Logan leaving around 6:30 am for the church. He has a service at 8:30 am and one at 10 am every Sunday morning. We followed up for the 10 AM service with Katie and the boys. Our plan is to leave after the 10 AM service and head down I-77 to Wytheville where we will spend the night at the Country Inn & Suites. Plan is for Chip’s family to get a room and we will stay in the motorhome for the night.

The trip started out very uneventful until we stopped in West Virginia at the Marathon gas station at exit 146, after the fill up everything went downhill. The motorhome started to run very badly and was having a hard time climbing the hills and even quite running a couple of times. This had me a concerned because I was trying to figure out in my head what could be wrong. It had to be the fuel filters were blocked or we got a load of bad gas. In my over 30 years of having motorhomes I have never had a gas problem. The motorhome was running great until we gassed up so that was what I felt it must be. We made it to Wytheville VA and burnt up a half a tank of gas, 3.7 MPG. We took it down to the T/A truck stop and put some high test gas in and that done the trick for now. I will not know for sure until we get on the road tomorrow. Not a very restful night of sleep thinking about this problem, but we will see. Good night.
