Summer 2015 in the UK including 'The Open' travel blog

Tuesday August 4

On our last morning in Wrexham, we visited Heather's mother's cousin, Eluned for a cup of tea before starting to drive to South Wales. En route, we stopped briefly in Bala, then continued driving through to the west coast on down the A487 towards Cardigan.

We arrived in Llechryd, the village 3 miles from Cardigan where Heather's parents had lived, in late afternoon. We had been invited to stay with Richard and Pat Harman for a few days. We have known Richard since 2006, when he first started tending the gardens at Heather's parent's house in Llechryd, and he and his wife Pat have become friends who share similar interests and past-times. Our evening with Richard and Pat was spent catching up on news from Wales and sharing a lovely home-made meal at their house.
