The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

We woke up to a beautiful day but windy so we put on our walking boots and headed to the nearby village of Moelfre on the coast to pick up the coastal path. Tony already spotted there was a lovely tea shop in the village for our return.

The Anglesey coast has been designated as an “Area of outstanding natural beauty” and our walk along the coastal path confirmed that. We found lovely rocky coves, beautiful pristine beaches and some interest rock formations. It was such a lovely day that we just kept on walking. The only down on the walk was when we walked by a field of cows who decided they were charging to the fence as we walked by- they didn’t look very friendly! Glad there was a fence between us and them.

We found a lovely deserted cove for lunch, out of the wind, with rock pools which had seaweed covered in salt. It was so unusual and very beautiful. We could have returned to the village by going inland but it was so lovely by the coast we decided to walk back the way we came.

Of course when we got back to the village mid-afternoon we did have to stop at the lovely tea shop before heading back to base.
