|We had a fantastic US Thanksgiving dinner, with about 75 of our closest friends! Surprising how many of the people in this park are Canadian.
Friday we played Historic Shadow Mountain Golf Course. It is actually a private course, but the park has an agreement with them, good for us. As some of the pictures show, it was beautiful, well kept and flowers blooming in the gardens of all the houses around it. The fact Michelle had one of her better scores this year had nothing to do with how much she liked the course! That night we had a great leftovers dinner, with about 35 friends.
This weekend we have relaxed (reading, walking, and drinks by the pool and hot tub), pedalled to get a few groceries and walked the park after dinner every night. Our next door neighbours were in the grocery store this morning, so they offered to bring home our packs, made it a quicker and easier ride back home. Of course, as soon as we got home, got the Grey Cup Chili simmering on the stove and got to the pool, the clouds moved in :-( Oh well, it was still around 70 degrees, so we can't complain.
Tomorrow is golf at the local municipal course, don't think it will be quite as fancy or well cared for as the course last week, but we'll enjoy playing. We're keeping our fingers crossed for good weather Tuesday, as we're hoping to do another hike.
We're settling into the routine and enjoying staying at the same place for a length of time. It is kind of weird to have Christmas music playing in all the stores, while walking around in t-shirts and shorts, and walking outside to see palm trees. Christmas lights are starting to appear in trailer windows, will have to get some pictures of them when a few more are decked out. Michelle have to wait until after Dec 2 to decorate, then she'll pull out her little secret stash!
