|After a big day at the Zoo yesterday, now off to Amsterdam to do some sightseeing.
Firstly, a quick Facebook/Instagram catch up. The first photo shows Tom on the street, brushing his teeth, while using the neighbours Wi Fi.
Unfortunately no shooting range (Tom requested, however only allowed for people > 18 years) and Room of Riddles - Luke's request (booked out).
After some searching for the parking at the Amsterdam soccer Arena, we decided to do the stadium tour. Lots of good stories and video clips about this glorious club with many memories for Frank from the past with Ajax winning European trophies in the 1970's and 1995.
Then the metro into the city where we walked and had lunch before we caught up for a drink with our friend Ali Trevaskis, who was in Amsterdam with her husband Mick.
Many bikes and typical houses with the different "gevels" (rooftops) on another beautiful warm and sunny day. Then a walk via the "red light district" and a metro to the Anne Frank house. Long queues in front of Anne Frank, so decided not to enter.
A canal cruise had just left, so therefore another Red light district walk and then metro back to the Central station for the metro back to the Arena, where we met Leon van Maenen for drink.
An hour's drive to Voorburg to have a tasty Indonesian meal with the van Diepenbeeks. It was great to catch up with them again. Frank first met them on his first overseas trip to USA in 1990. We always try to visit when we are in Holland and over the years have watched each others' children grow.
