We left the Varberg area and headed north once again. Our destination this time was Kungshamn on the Bohuslan coast about fifty miles north of Gothenburg. As we headed north the scenery started to change from gentle farmland to wooded and rugged with granite rock outcrops. We felt we were driving back in Canada –welcome home! Kungshamn sits at the end of one of the many peninsulas on this coast. Leaving the motorway we were on ordinary roads but again excellent. There was only one narrow bit over a bridge across an inlet and the scenery was getting better.
We arrived at campground safely and chose our pitch overlooking a small bay and the water. Just beautiful. The only downside was a very strong wind the remains of Hurricane Bertha.
