The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

This shot could be anywhere along the drive.

Except for this volcano along the way.

Our Campsite

Havre RV Park, Gas Station and Casino.

They pack them in.

Havre is considered the largest town on the Montana Hi-line. Montana Hi-Line region is rolling prairies, endless fields of wheat, large heards of cattle, towering mountains in the far distance and remoteness. All tucked in the 'Big Sky' that Montana is known for.

It has a population of 9600 people with the largest employer being the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. They have a major hub here and has the second busiest Amtrak stop in Montana.

We didn't find much to do. Our biggest source of entertainment was the RV park. The big rigs were parked around an island in the center. Instead of assigning them spots in order they would come in and park - leaving spaces between. Then the next one would have to parallel park. Fun to watch them parallel park a big 40ft home or a large fifth wheel.

Most did a pretty good job. Several gave up!
