|Saturday, June 28. Campers were out early, including Karen, cleaning up muddy shoes, muddy campsites and enjoying the sunshine from all the rain the day before. We heard Joel Crouse sitting up close to the stage and enjoyed a few of his songs, mostly the ones he sang that were by other performers, none of his originals. We were able to hear Randy Houser and a couple of songs by Gary Allan, as weather was nice during the day. Then about 9:30 pm, as predicted the lightning/heavy rainfall started so we were prepared with rain jackets, rubber boots, umbrella, and ran for the VIP tents along with the crowds of people. We were concerned where all the hundreds of people sitting in general admission were scattering to get out of the rain. There were a few large barns where the alcohol sponsors had bands playing on dirt floors that probably held many of the general admission attendees, but definitely not all of the hundreds. Brad Praisley did not come out on the stage until after 11 pm when heavy rain had stopped and many empty seats around us who decided to not wait it out. Brad’s performance was really good.
