We keep seeing such beautiful wildflowers as we travel through Montana.

We have been enjoying our travels in Montana so very much. Since my last entry we have visited places such as Missoula, Butte, Kalispell, Big Fork and Marion. We drove the entire west shore of Flathead Lake (the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River in the contiguous United States). We have enjoyed all the wildflowers, mountains, rivers, and lakes.

Willis and I stopped for a night with our friends Dianne and Paul (the last time we had seen them was in Atlanta, GA) at their gorgeous home in Big Fork. They fixed us a delicious dinner and we visited late into the evening. (Side note: It stays light until after 10 pm here in this part of the country so when visiting time does get away from us!) We enjoyed a tasty breakfast and then Dianne had to head off to work and we headed further north to see the Thompson Chain-of-Lakes.

Tomorrow, Monday, we plan to head back towards Glacier National Park. They have not been able to clear the snow on all of the roads yet, but we will see what we can see. I’m sure that whatever we are able to see will be beautiful, as Montana has not disappointed me yet!

Happy Travels,

Rebecca
