Lakeside Beach At Jonkoping

Roadside Lupins

We missed the car park attendant last night as we went for a walk. He wasn't about anywhere this morning & we couldn't find anyone to pay so we have up & moved on. It was another hot, sunny day so back in shorts again.

We drove on in a South Westerly direction across Sweden towards the West coast. Trying to decide whether to go back to Denmark on the ferry from Helsingborg or via the bridge again at Malmo. We stopped for lunch beside a massive lake at Granna, apparently famous for it's pink & white striped rock, the eating kind. It was very expensive, little bags of it were £3, so we decided to wait & buy some back in Great Yarmouth, which is also well known for making rock.

We found a great night stop just off the main road at Orkelljunga. Lovely gravel & grass area set up specially for motorhomes & free of charge, even free electric. We haven't had an electric hook up for over a week now, the batteries & the solar panel have coped well. Another bonus here is that there is a McDonalds just across the way with great wifi connection plus frappe iced coffee. It's been a hot & sunny day with temperatures up in the 80s.
