The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Today we left Soltau and headed north and slightly east once again. We had to drive round Hamburg but despite road works we had no delays. We had contacted a stellplatz in Wismar who said they could take us. We arrived to find the stellplatz was very busy but they had reserved a large spot for us so we were OK. We noticed later that there was a number of motorhomes coming in who couldn't find a space so we were glad we had contacted them.

We will stay here for a week as there is a Germany public holiday on the 29 May and places will be very busy.

We are now in the small state of Mecklenburg-Western-Pomerania(1.8million people in 23,170 square kilometres). This state was till the unification of Germany behind the "Iron curtain" as part of East Germany.
