leaving the park

up this morning, a bit of breakfast, some computer stuff, losded up the car and headed down the road to Virginia. Got into Shenandoah National Park around 11:00, the day is great nice and sunny with the temp at 62 degrees, a lot of people in the park as this is Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I drove on Skyline road through the park it is a drive of 105 miles following the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains max speed is 35 mph, so trip will take min of 3 hours, that is with out any stops. My trip only took 8 hours (had a few stops lol) I stop at a lot of the scenic overlooks, there are some 75 overlooks, I did some hiking, I hike the whole Appslschian Trail ( well maybe it was just a short part of it, was a couple miles, but seemed like the whole thing, lmao) A very great day, temp at the end of day 68 degrees, was going to camp out but all the campgrounds were filled up so I headed to Charlottsville for the night and got a hotel room which was good. Out for bit dinner and off to bed.
