|We spent the weekend in Malaysia. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to explore the country so we decided to check out Kuala Lumpur. This is the home to the Petronas Towers, formerly the tallest buildings in the worlds. Just recently, Taiwan build a new building to take the title. We were rode a high speed elevator to the Skybridge. This is located about halfway up in between the towers and functions as an emergency evacuation bridge so that if something is happening in one tower, the employees can get to the other. We were able to walk across and enjoy spectacular views of the city. Aside from the towers, we spent some time walking through Pataling Street, Chinatown. Here you must manuver down the most narrow streets you can imagine and try to fight the crowds to bargain with the local vendors. It is stall after stall of designer knock-offs, from $10 Pumas to $10 Gucci purses. Actually, even if you wanted to, you couldn't find something that is NOT branded with a designer name. We spent some time in KL's hip bars and even smoked some Cherry-Coke Huka.
