Lyn & Richards' 2014 Adventures to Nowhere in Particular. travel blog

From Buragorang N P looking over Sydney's water catchment area.

On Monday we crossed back to the south of Sydney to my sister, Margaret's at Rossmore, west of Liverpool. At last the rain seems to have cleared although more is forecast for next week. Temperatures have dropped and are in the pleasant mid 20s mostly.

We looked for somewhere to go on Tuesday which would not involve driving through city traffic of which I have had quite sufficient. We settled on Burragorang Lookout which turned out to be a very pleasant National Park picnic area to the west of Camden through The Oaks. The lookout looks over the catchment area for Warragamba Dam. Unfortunately it was a misty day. On a clear day the view would have been spectacular. I guess nowadays, near a big city, you don't get too many really clear days.

Today, Wednesday, Marg & Don are trying to get the grass mown (they have a 5 acre block) before the forecast rain reappears, Richard has gone for a walk and I'm relaxing doing this - don't know what we'll do for the east of the day - probably have a rest day.
