|Day 29 - Sunday 23rd March - at Mallacoota
Oh WOW. This caravan park is huge. They claim it is the largest van park (with No cabins) in the Southern Hemishere! We're not about to argue. It covers 75 acres and the site across the road from us is number 705.
Great park and no feeling of being too large.
Today has dawned sunny and we are off to church at St Peters which is a Uniting/Anglican co-operative parish. Todays service was 16 congregation + 2 on organ and guitar + minister (I think Anglican). That was good crowd as the normal regulars only number 4. How we bleed for these struggling country parishs and wish that the strong suburban parishs would adopt one to provide encouragement and support on a regular basis. Morning tea was a very welcoming time.
Back to the van to change and then walk for about 4kms to go into the town to check out the shops and then walk the length of the park before lunch.
This afternoon I have brought the blog up to date and Jan has done some reading/ writing and will shortly help the neighboring camper with some tatting. It is now fully overcast but I think we will stay here another two days (4 in all) to enjoy the down time and relax. There are a number of walks in the nearby forest and we think we will try to do a couple of those.
Maybe I might even be able to get the photos up to date while we are here and have access to free internet.
