We enjoyed a nice supper, prepared by Paul, and after catching up for a while we crashed; it had been a long day!
Very leisurely breakfast, wander around Paul's garden, particularly admiring the Grevillias and the bright green and red lorikeets feeding on the nectar, and more catching up. Paul and Rosemary have the house up for sale, so he has Ben spending a lot of time getting everything 'just so' - and looked good.
Paul took us for a short tour of Toowoomba, including a lookout point high above the very steep escarpment. We could see for miles and miles, especially as the weather was so good, very few clouds and hot sun. A lovely day. On past the very wealthy area where the huge houses had fantastic views, to a garden centre with a pretty cafe attached where we had lunch. Afterwards we were driven to where Paul used to live, in Maplewood Drive, an area of much smaller houses! Finally, back to Highfields.
Paul cooked a lovely dinner for us, a bit of catchup on emails the bed. A tiring day even though we'd done very little!
Another leisurely start to the day, Paul introduced us to what he described as Australia's favourite food; vegemite and Tim-tams. Australia can keep the vegemite but the Tim-tams were great. They were a bit like a Penguin biscuit and very yummy! and Paul was hoping for an offer to be made on the house, otherwise it was another open house day to be prepared. We were just leaving for lunch when the call came, so everyone was in a good mood. An early lunch as we had to get to Brisbane to change the camper. Only a brief stay with Paul, wish it could have been longer, but we still had a fair way to go and travelling times were much longer than planned using Google maps!
An easy, fast run into Brisbane where we met the Maui people and swapped everything over. The replacement had been thoroughly cleaned and looked in a much better condition and it proved to be very quiet when driven. A result!
