Sunrise at Banana

After six days in Agnes Water / 1770 we left the coast and headed inland, passing through Miriam Vale where we rejoined the Bruce Hwy which we hadn't seen since Gympie. We stayed on it until Calliope where we headed west toward Biloela. Arriving there about midday we decided to just do a bit of stocking up of the fridge (mainly meat, milk and bread as there will be no shops this week), have lunch and keep going to Banana. We also checked at the Ford dealer about the door locking system which they could have replaced for $400, but we decided to persevere with it for a while longer.

We expected the CP in Banana to be cheap but it was $30. If you stand on the corner in Banana and turn 360 deg. you can see pretty much all of the town and the park is pretty basic but we didn't have much choice! Anyway, there was plenty of hot water. We certainly didn't need to stay more than one night here.
