On the Road with Tom and Gloria travel blog

An eyeglass repairman had been recommended to me by a woman in the park. This "genius " was located not far from Canyon Vista so I called MaryJane to see if I could visit while I was in the neighborhood. She was going to a luncheon in the park and asked me to join in. I accepted and left early enough to do all my errands before noon.

My first stop was at the eyeglass repair shop where I was told that my glasses could not be repaired. So much for the "genius" repair guy. Next I went to Costco and then the Mesa Marketplace.

I got to Mary Jane's just as the lunch was starting. Both soups were delicious, the salad was amazing, and desserts were bountiful and scrumptious. MJ sent me home with a few of her wonderful brownies.

On my way out of the park I visited with Connie who was recovering from surgery. Mary and Karen sold their coach and bought a park model at CV. I stopped to wish them well and they were in the throws of getting the coach ready for the new owner. Carol and Jim Hagadorn, who always wintered in CV but are now living year round in Michigan, had just arrived for a three week vacation. How nice it was to see all of them again.

Hit tons of traffic on the way home but I had the brownies to munch on so that made it tolerable.
