1st November

Trevor, Carol and Gracie are still waiting on news about the Kia. To fill in the day we have decided to visit Bellingen.

Bellingen is a modern town with all the services expected for modern life but the architecture, with intricate metal laceworks, wide verandahs and shop awnings harking back to yesteryear and a gentler pace. Strolling along the main street we are reminded of our visit to Nimbin a few years ago.

Placed around the street are bench seats which you could rest on and watch the world go by or look at the beautiful Jacarandas still in full bloom.

Trevor has received a phone call and the news is not good. They do not have the part in Australia and are waiting for it to arrive from Korea. They can't say when it will arrive. So our plans have changed we will stay at Mylestom till Monday and then travel to Forster. Trevor and Carol will also leave Monday in the hire car while they leave the car at the repairers and the van into storage.

Before heading back to the park we call into the old butter factory. A collection of art and craft shops, galleries and studios.

2nd November

Waking to a sunny noisy morning. A family are having a reunion, someone in a big monster truck thinks its funny to blast his horn constantly early morning. Think he changed his mind when the manager walked around to see what is happening. Sounded like a train horn.

Making the most of the weather Carol and I make good use of the pool now we have a few extra days.

4th November

Waking to a cloudy day a big southerly wind blew for awhile last night. Lucky we had our awnings rolled up.

Saying bye to our friends we head down to Forster where we will spend 5 nights. The cloud is getting heavier and having some rain. We are surprised at the amount of roadworks that have been completed with lots more continuing. Kempsey is by passed now which was a bottle neck. Arriving we set up camp in cold blustery winds. A bit of a shock for us as we have had great weather on this trip.

5th November

Today we will meet up with Trevor and Carol for lunch before they continue home. A cool morning but the wind is easing. The sun is trying hard to shine.
