|We went inland toward Millau so we could cross over the Millau Viaduct. Ken had seen a documentary showing the building of this bridge and we were quite pleased it was only just over an hours drive from Pezenas. It was certainly an impressive structure and quite windy to drive over. We went over and back.... just for the fun of it and paid 7€ each way for the privilege. So now we can state we've been over it in both directions and under it as well.... it's certainly been done!!
We also visited the town of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon to visit the Roquefort cheese caves. I was excited about that as it's one of my favourite cheeses. We got to go down into a cave of Gabriel Coullet to see where the cheese is kept to mature naturally for a minimum of 4 months. By French law only cheese from this region are allowed to use the name Roquefort. We had a taste, of course, and then had lovely lunch complete with Roquefort Cheese!
