Masive WalMart distribution center off I-80

September 22, 2013 Rock Springs, Wyoming

We left The Terry Bison Ranch Resort at about 8:45 for the 272 mile drive via I-80 to Rock Springs. It was a very windy drive with winds out of the southwest and 35 mph gusts; a very tiring drive. We stopped at a rest stop near Sinclair for a break from the drive and early lunch. We had some rain but it wasn’t very heavy. We arrived at the Rock Springs KOA about 1:30 pm. The person at the KOA said they had a severe rain storm earlier in the day. The exit off I-80 was a mess when we went this way in June and still a mess with not much done. We were glad to be off the road. The wind didn’t abate even into the night; Cherie got up in the middle of the night and retracted the slides because of the wind stressing the toppers on the slides.
