Here we are in wonderful Bilbao - we both love it and want to come back. The Guggenhein museum is amazing - the best building I think I have ever seen. And inside my favourite sculptor- Richard Serra. I will try and add some photos. A very atmospheric city of about 350000' people, lots of amazing architecture, green space, the river, public art. We walked heaps, spent almost a day at the museum, ate lots of pintox or tapas washed down with wine. Weather welcome after cold and wet London. Although it drizzled a bit today it was in the low 20's and 19 at 11pm. Hotel is very good and central. Wi-fi comes in fits and starts so hope this gets through. Off to Barcelona tomorrow afternoon by train. Big festival on there so should be fun.
London was great except for the weather which was freezing. Rained a lot too. Caught up with a couple of people I'd met on other holidays - Hazel who was on the Peru trip and Ann who I'd. Done a Ramblers walk in Italy with and had shared a holiday in France some years ago. Unfortunately, Pat Angie had to cancel because of car trouble. Had a riotous time with Barbara and Stanley and their friends Janet and
Mike who have a house between Cahors and Toulouse in France. We will probably call in to see them on our drive from Perpignan to Paris.
Walked our feet off in London - showing Beryl all the tourist sights.
Going to finish before wi-fi dies on me
Some replies would be good!
