|Vicky let me sleep in and went on a mission for accommodation. I woke at 10.30 and a few minutes later Vicky appeared back with a smile on her face. She had managed to get us a hut with shared bathroom at the same guest house for half the price. So we took it and decided to stay another night. We had breakfast and moved our stuff. I then went and did a dive with a local company and met Anne-Marie (also a manc), she has been to the Island before and was dating BA our dive master so was staying for another 2 months. However it is on the quite as he is Muslim and here it is again the law for any mixed religion unions of any sort and he could be imprisoned! Vicky went off snorkelling. We met up in the afternoon and went for a swim. Vicky managed to get out, but as the tide went out I got stuck about 100 meters out from the beach. I couldn't swim in at it was too shallow and due to my lack of shoes and sharp coral under feet couldn't walk it! I was stranded for about half an hour and then moved into the runway for the water taxis and managed to flag the next one down as it was bring people ashore from the boats! A real nightmare! That night we met up with Louise and Peter again with some others and a guy called Elliot from the UK. We had a nice BBQ on the beach and I tried King fish, it was nice. WE were invited to a party on long beach at the other side of the Island but decided against it due to the lightening threatening a storm!
