2013 trip to Newfoundland, Canada travel blog

September 7, 2013 Morgantown, West Virginia

We had a very nice time at Jan and Bobs for the last 8 days. We mostly just sat around and visited. They asked if we wanted to see some things in the area but we have been here many times sightseeing so we just wanted to stay home and visit. We did go to the renaissance fair on Labor Day. I had a problem with one of my tires on the truck that I had looked at when we were in the Boston area; the guy said the tread was cut and was not repairable. I put the spare on to get me to Jan and Bobs. I went to Costco and bought a set of 4 tires. I intended to replace them when we got home so I got a new set a little earlier. The tires were on sales so I got them a little cheaper also buying them at Costco, I can take them to any Costco for service and free repair. We left the Thomas’ this morning at 9:30 am and drove 214 miles to a campground in Morgantown. Actually the campground is outside of town and about 2 miles off I-68; very quiet. Full hookups, 50 amps; $34.34/night. The Hills arrived about one halve hour before us and are 2 spots away. It is very wooded here so I can’t get satellite TV and have to rely on the antenna. They have WiFi but we are too far away from the router. My WiFi works but is bery slow because of the weak cell phone signal. We will move on to Zanesville, Ohio tomorrow and stay 3 nights touring the area.
