The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

The Chocolate Museum.

A number of chocolate products once manufactured here.

Includes a unrefrigerated hershey bar dispenser.

Mr Goodbar since 1924.

A handmade clock that shows 1 disciple every hour.

The story of the clock.

Notice the candy kiss shaped street lights.

We got to Hershey and found out why campgrounds are full. Hersey is like Disneyland with amusement parks, chocolate factories, water parks. It made us miss the kids. This would be a destination they need to attend with their parents.

The factory tour needed reservations and reviews told us that alot of it is films rather than an actual walk through, so we decided we would visit the Museum. It was interesting how he developed the city as well as the factories. Mr. Hersey built this city for his employees and their families. He supported home buying and other businesses. It's amazing how one person can make such a big impact.

We apologize for the pictures. Our camera took a walk. We have no idea where we lost it. Somewhere in Gettysburg so all we have are what we took on our phones. It was not a drastic lost, the shutter stuck on it often and the pictures were not turning out so well. It is time to upgrade.

Tomorrow......We are heading to Ohio to see family and attend a reunion picnic.
