Beautiful end to a wonderful day!

Up early today because it's race day. Nicki, Sadi, and Sunday are entered in The 5k Mad Cow Run to benefit CAP. The In Your Pace Running Club is an informal group of friends consisting of fun-loving and charitable recreational runners of all ages, sizes and athletic abilities. The bighearted group will donate race proceeds to Community Action Partnership, a local non-profit that helps individuals and families in Madison County become and remain self-sufficient. Last year, the event raised $3,000 for CAP!

Nana, Papa, Faith, Tallon and Kaiden went to watch and cheer them on. This was Nicki and Sadi's second year and Sunday's first 5K race ever. They all did very well. Congratulations!

After we got home from the race we had a little lunch and short rest before we headed to a new nearby zoo called "The Wild". We had lots of fun feeding the animals and learning all about them. Nana finally got her wish to see alligators up close! They also had an alligator show! What a GREAT time!

On the way home we stopped for ice cream at Dave's Ice Cream Stand. Boy was it good!

After ice cream Papa and Nana went on a mission to find a little something for the grandkids. We gave it some thought and knew that they really wanted a tire swing. It took us awhile but we finally found one. They have a beautiful Cherry Tree to put it in. Sorry, Dad for all the work! We'll be waiting for pictures!

We returned home to deliver the surprise, have a a little supper and watch some TV with all.

We then tucked the kids in, read short stories and said good night to all before turning in.

What a beautiful sunset this evening! A great ending to a wonderful day!
