We made the campground at Scenic Hills our home base and explored this area for the last 4 days. They have a large Amish and Mennonite population so lots of crafts, cheese, and buffets! We sampled all of it. The countryside is scenic with the horses and buggys sharing the roads with us. We visited Sugarcreek, OH and spent some time in a museum that had artifacts including tools, equipment, and clothing. This area was settled by the Swiss so you see that influence everywhere. In the museum Clarence saw an old shoe shine stand and remembered when he used to shine shoes at Mr.Long's local barber shop for 5-10 cents. One day we drove to Canton to the National Football League Hall of Fame. Of course we did not see any Jaguars there (yet) but there were some interesting things to see and do. The Hall of Fame class of 2013 will include the former Tampa Bay Buc, Warren Sapp and there was a display showing all of the new inductees. Believe it or not Tim Tebow's jersey is there! He set the record when he was with the Broncos for the shortest overtime game in a playoff. We got to see the Lombardi trophy that will be awarded in the Super Bowl in 2014 and some of the Super Bowl rings from the past. We also learned why the Hall of Fame is in Canton,Ohio (see photo). The Hall of Fame Bowl in a few weeks will now be more interesting to us.
