Dawson River

Bridge on the River Dawson

Our site in the light of day....

Lovely weather today so we did a few loads of washing and had a clean out. I hope the clean sheets don't bring out any amorous desires. I have my shorts on as it was 23c, I bet the weather turns foul now...

Then it was out to Beaumont Terrace to collect Aunts “Things”. Then a quick visit to the Dr who (Not DR Who) had not posted the necessary paperwork so she can be buried, got that sorted back in Taree, then run round to the Council to have the wording on her granite plaque arranged and paid for....

A quick lunch; then on to Spotlight, we are after some new Venetians for our van as the ones that came with it are made from alfoil and if you touch them they crease or bend and we thought maybe some “proper” ones would do the job. Unfortunately it looks like we will have to get them custom made as the stock ones are either too small or too long to cut down.

Then we spent time with the solicitor to sort out the semi final details, we got back to the van (comma deleted) shagged so decided that the steaks that had been thawed would have to wait for another day and had Hungry Jacks in lieu we didn't drive to Lue (near Mudgee) we had the HJ's as a substitute for the Binalong scotch fillet; does scotch fillet come from Angus cows?......

We are not going to backtrack to Mylestom instead we are going to spend a few days at Anna Bay then we have been stimulated to go home via the Hunter, Denman, Sandy Hollow, Mudgee Canowindra, Cowra, Binalong.... Its the long way around but may be better than the expressway through Sydney, especially Pennant Hills Rd which is not at all amusing towing a van... A chap who lives at Bowral (the Ugh Boots man) said he goes that way all the time in preference to going through Sydney....
