Slippery trails in NL

When we arrived in Amsterdam we purchased some mountain bikes but as of yet they had not seen any dirt, just paved bike paths. We found some muddy mountain bike trails which made Richard very happy as he is having withdrawal from not being able to ride the trails. Even though everyone rides bicycles in the Netherlands, mountain biking does not seem to be very popular, probably because of the flat terrain and wet weather. Trails were not very technical like we have in the southwest desert but still fun. Our mountain bikes are Giant front suspension bikes.

We also came across another WWII memorial and cemetery, this one honoring Canadian solders. This area was the site of the Operation Market Garden in which the British and Canadians did not do so well against the Germans and 17,000 were killed.
