The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Today we visited the quaint little village of Damme which was at one time Bruges main seaport. However with the silting up of the River Zwin it fell into decline. Today is sits on tree lined canal that links Bruges with Sluis and just north of the village the Leopoldkanaal.

As well as enjoying the village with its pretty Stadhuis and a church with a part ruined nave we enjoyed a walk along the canal in the beautiful sunshine.
