The Talavera place setting we bought (6 total)

We drove around Puerto Penasco again, saw a very eclectic 5th Wheel, horse riders on the beach and wonderful views. We then went to Visit "Tugboat Dave" a friend of Jimmie and Jeaine, the couple from whom we bought our 5th Wheel. Tugboat Dave got his name from captaining a Tugboat that brought Oil and other tankers into Ferndale, Washington. Jimmie was 1st mate on one of Exxon's oil tankers and Tugboat Dave's tugboat was the one that brought Jimmie into port. We drove to Ostonera Oyser Farm, run by 12 women, to eat "extremely fresh" oysters, harvested only 5 minutes before we ate them, 6 raw and six cooked with Cilantro, Butter and Cheese - all were outstanding, not as good as the ones we had in Malpeque on Prince Edward Island in the Maritimes Provinces of Canada. We decided to see the Mayan Palace Resort, a time-share facility, that is at least 15 miles from Puerto Penasco out in the middle of nowhere. We all said, who in their right mind would decide to stay there, like the three women from Missouri we met at Casa de Captain the day before. After seeing the resort, it would be a destination not a hub for touring. A very beautiful and elegant resort. We finished our day by going to La Cholla, a village on the west end of Puerto Penasco, it is inhabited by throw backs to the late 60, very laid back town, JJ's the the only bar in town, and it the must go to place, just ask them...;-)
