|Part of our reason for visiting La Jolla was to touch base with two friends of long-standing (note I did not say "old friends"). The first is Sue Rosner, who was my Academic Adviser during our Ph.D. years at the University of Iowa. Her patience and diligence as my mentor was without bounds. The second is Amy Kloner, my third Ph.D. student at the University of Maine. Amy's patience and diligence working with me ("No Amy, you cannot spell 'judgment' with an 'e') was also without bounds. On successive nights, we had dinner with first Sue and then Amy......and it was great fun to see both of them again. Sue also gave us a very helpful tour of La Jolla and the Museum of Contemporary Art, which is beautiful.
