Finally in Santiago. Flying out at 11.20pm, 24th arriving Armidale 1.20pm Tues 26th. No pillow for too long!

That says it all!

Had walk to coast from hotel (about 2 km) to view the Pacific. Next landfall to W would be Coffs Harbour! Grey cool morning. Raul took us to the airport, where we then flew by LAN to Santiago. Got maxicab into city to apartment that G and A had organised. Small but functional apartment in interesting part of city. Found nearby restobar where we had a last pisco sour and a bite to eat. L and P then caught taxi back to international airport and waited for ~4 hours for flight LA801 to Sydney.
