Gary On Tour 2005 travel blog

28th July 2005 - Malacca, Malaysia

Well hello again. Today finds me in the one horse town of Malacca. Well to be honest it's so small and lifeless it actually shares its horse with the neighbouring town! The tourist trail looks as if it will take about 90 minutes to photograph, I mean visit. However it is pleasant enough; sort of like Portstewart with a few museums thrown in. And another 15 celsuis onto the temperature. And sunshine. And a lot more foreigners. Apart from that it's the same!

26th - 27th July, Kuala Lumpur

This is such a pleasant city to visit. Wide open streets, huge malls, fantastic Islamic arhitecture, lovely people and good food. Unlike Bangkok which if I never visit again I won't be disappointed, this city is instantly likeable.

We were up early this morning, heading to the Petronas Twin Towers to secure tickets to the 41st floor viewing floor. This is the link section between the two towers. The 42nd floor is for the workers in the many offices, whilst the 41st is for the tourists.
