Out in Africa travel blog

A relaxing morning and a replacing time to be sure we have no more than 33lbs per person total for all luggage checked and carry on!

This afternoon we took a city tour. One million people live here. There were people all over walking and carrying things on their heads or in wooden pull carts. Lots of lumb yards with beds being made! People crammed into small minivan buses.

Went to the cultural center for shopping and to the gallery of local artists. Also stopped at the local flea market. Lots of people with their crafts in small stalls crammed right next to each other. Very small walking area between the shops on either side of the street. Everyone wants you to look in their shop.

I did notice people sewing on very very old Singer sewing machines...probably considered antiques in the USA.

Tomorrow we fly out to start our safari. A small prop plane that holds max of 15 people and will land on a dirt runway. Should be interesting. Flight is one hour, I may have to have my eyes closed the whole time.

This will probably be the last live update for about a week until we have Internet access! Just know we are having a good time and there will be lots of photos and updates!
