Friday September 14

After a hearty full Welsh breakfast (we declined the black pudding), we headed into Cardigan to visit the bank, meet with the estate agent regarding the sale of ‘Sunfold’. By mid-morning we were finished in town and off to see Colin and Jeanette our good friends and ‘Sunfold’ neighbours who very kindly also keep an eye on the place for us.

We enjoyed a morning coffee and catching up on local news. It is hard to believe that it has been over a year since we last visited; it seems like last week! For lunch, we dropped into our favourite baguette shop to buy sandwiches fof a picnic lunch which we ate at a cliff-side viewpoint parking area overlooking Cardigan estuary and Poppit Sands near Gwbert.

Mid-afternoon, we called in on our friends Ruth and John Minter, who are currently house-bound. They are remarkably positive folks who enjoy having visitors. It was nice to chat with them for a while and hear about current events in Llandygwydd. We returned to the B&B for a break before making our way to the Three Horse Shoes in Cenarth for a hearty pub dinner. Remarkably, we have had no rain yet in Wales!
