Where the heck is Sequim?

Downtown Sequim

Olypic Mountain Range view

beautiful views!

John Wayne donated this property for the Marina

Lavender capital of the world, or at least Washington

The local knitting store

Sequim, Washington (pronounced sqwim)

Who would have thunk Washington? Not us!

We both fell in love right away (for different reasons of course!)

1. small town (6600 people)

2. Active downtown with unique shops

3. Retirement community (average age 58)

4. mild climate (average temp in winter low 40's, average summer low 70's)

5. beautiful views (mountains and water)

6. Large selection of one of a kind restaurants

1. Big box stores (Home Depot, Costco, Walmart)

2. Friendly people (no one is in a hurry, they don't cut you off)

3. trees and fresh mountain air

4. Good ole' fashion churches with hymnals

5. lowest amount of rain in all of Washington (the "blue hole")

6. less expensive than San Diego
