We are not happy in Culver. An Oregon Little League tournament was played nearby and the park is packed. The WIFI was unusable. I do not think they are used to this many people in their park. We relocate today.
First, we drive to Redmond to pick up a prescription and a few more items at Wal-Mart. Back in Culver, we pick up the trailer and move six miles north. This may be our shortest move ever. At our new park, we catch up on our computer postings. Things are much better!
By lunchtime, we are ready to explore. We eat lunch in Madras. We travel to The Cove Palisades State Park. The confluence of the Deschutes and Crooked River is here. They then join the Metolius River. The Round Butte Dam creates Lake Billy Chinook.
We head straight to the marina. We ask how the fishing is. “Never better,” is the response. We reserve a fishing boat for tomorrow morning. They rent everything from pedal boats to wave runners to houseboats here. It should be a great morning.
