John and Janet 2012 Oregon travel blog

It is a beautiful, sunny day again. Can this be Oregon?

We travel north to Newport for breakfast. We have a “favorite” restaurant here.

We turn east onto Route 20. In little more than an hour, we are in the Albany/Corvallis region. It is a scenic drive through the forest. We cross the first summit at 337 feet. We cross the second summit at 900 feet. These mountains are not the Rockies.

We will disconnect from the trailer and take a day trip tomorrow to Silver Falls State Park. After that, we will head south and west to the Umqua River. Today, we are just relaxing.
