The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Despite the weather we headed out to the small village of Goathland which is nestled in the Wheeldale and Goathland moors. The village became famous as it was the setting for the village of Aidensfield the fictional village in the British TV series Heartbeat. The station in the village also doubled as “Hogsmeade” in Harry Potter films. While visiting the station we were able to watch the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which travels as a tourist train between Pickering and Whitby across the moors.
