|We arrived in Mojave about 4:00. We left Novato about 8:30 with a little worry about the high winds advistory! But had no problems and winds seemed to be behind us. There was dust storms but not to bad as we got closer to Bakerfield. Tumbleweeds blowing across the hwy. As we got to hwy 58 we could feel the winds on our side. We had a coyote cross in front us at one point. Pretty neat to see it! Wasn't Wiley tho! We had to stop in Tehachapi for fuel. What a nice place seems to be a good place visit. Downtown seems to upgraded and very clean. Would like to check it next time if the wind isn't blowing. It was blowing so hard and it was cold as Bob was fueling. Lots of train history here. We are settled in at a nice camp Sierra Trails Rv in Mojave. Our GPS gave the wrong info but I have the book and map so we found it. Its out in the middle of dessert. Winds are blowing and trailer is rocking. Wed the winds should be gone. Let hope Indio is a bit warmer its cold here! Kiki was so good. She was in the trailer at home and was like lets go!
