|Baraboo, Wisconsin is the home of the Ringling Brothers Circus since the late 1800's the 5 Ringling Brothers started the circus and were around until the early 1930's when the circuses started to combine and buy out each other. (www.circusworldmuseum.com). We arrived about 11:00 AM, just as the one 1 ring circus was performing. We saw the elephant act and the closing of the show. I was really impressed with the performers, most of them in their teens - I guess "summer camp" or minor league venue for the real circus. Also saw a really good magic show and acrobats showing their talents. This place is really keeping the circus alive. Many original buildings from the early 1900's still stand (and new ones built recently) and house magnificent artifacts like; circus wagons, posters, costumes, and many more things relating to the circus old and new. We had a really BAD lunch (on the health scale) and really loved the taste of circus food. Found the WalMart in the area and bought our "stores" for the continuation of our journey onto Spring Green, WI for the night.
