2011 Hogarths on the move again - to places afar travel blog

Up early to finish packing and clearing the boat. The locoboat representative turns up late and inspects the boat – we have returned the broom to its rightful order.

The taxi arrives to take us back to Agen to pick up Louis – 85 Euros. We pack the car and set off for Condom again. The kids want to buy a few things – including post cards from the town. Unfortunately we arrive during the lunch break and, once again, the place is shut.

We have lunch and drive the five kilometres to Larressingle – our accommodation for the night is just outside the village gates.

We are staying in an Auberge (supposed to be a hostel but this one is quite flash and has a great restaurant where we have tea). We are surrounded by sunflowers and grapes.

Larressingle is actually a tiny village contained within an old wall – actually looks like a castle from the outside. Only one shop (selling crepes and a bar) and a gallery or two, a small church and grave yard and the remains of what was once a chateau. We have a quick walk through in the late evening but will return tomorrow.

A rest day with the tour but we manage to see some of the carnage on stage nine on the news service. Hopefully tomorrow, once we arrive at our next stop, we can take the afternoon off and actually watch some live.
