We are in Anchorage for 3 nights. Tonight is our second night and we have taken 2 sick days. Turns out that Larry is VERY allergic to the Alaska Cottonwood trees. They shed a cotton pod about the size of a small banana and the cotton blows through the air.
We visited Urgent Care and he now has medication. Inhaler, antibiotics, allergy medication.
The Urgent Care visit took about an hour. The trip to Walgreen's to fill the scrips took 3 hours. It's the first time using Medicare and his supplement. The pharmacist made several phone calls and Larry was also on the phone. The argument was that Medicare was showing he was still on his employers insurance. Finally got it straighten out and should be good until next time.
We plan to to downtown Anchorage tomorrow.
