Over the biggest breakfast yet we chatted to a farming couple from Birmingham way.
Not seeing much of Caernarfon yesterday we visited the Caernarfon Castle, probably the best looking castle so far as most of the walls/towers etc are in tact. We then took a walk through the town's square, checking out the quirky little streets and along the promenade that lines the Menai Strait.
Wanting to see most of the country side we start the drive through the beautiful Snowdonia Mountains, stopping at the lovely village of Beddgelert, Betws-y-coed and Llangollen.
After a few detours through small country towns with 1 vehicle lanes we finally make it to Ann and Malc Maiden's at Stoke-on-Trent. Arriving with flowers for Ann's Birthday.
A quick cuppa and a change of clothes we head out for dinner at Buffet Island, a Chinese buffet restaurant. After dinner we visit Ann and Malc's second home, Silverdale Bowling Club, where the greens are more like a golf course, with a couple of mounds - you should see it! They play all over the place, not lane bowling like in Oz. After watching the pro's we head down the road to visit the bowling club clubhouse.....not as nice as those back home.
It was then back home to crack a bottle of wine Ann was given for her birthday.
