Jason and Dawn - Around the world 2011 travel blog

Drove straight through Cairns, the weather is not good enough to warrant a stop here right now for any snorkeling or Scuba Diving out on the Great Barrier Reef. Stopped in at Kuranda to witness the

cheesy festival that was going on. Walked the street markets to look at some opals and the local honey and clothing shops. Very nice day, sunny and a little breeze to keep you cool. We took a long walk with the UK couple Sam & Nicole (we met a few days back) to see the local train that takes you through Kuranda to Cairns & saw the spectacular Barron Falls that plunge over the edge of the Atherton Tableland.

Made our way back to town center and made our way out to a free rest stop area at Mount Molloy
