We now have cell phone coverage. So good to get in touch with the kids.
We left Tok to head towards Fairbanks. It was raining when we left and the rest of the day was off and on showers. We had straight, paved good roads. YEA! We crossed frozen rivers and had our first moose sighting. Delta Junction is the end of the Alaska Highway. We stopped to get the picture of the mile post. Except for a nightmare ride up to Chicken we traveled the Alaska Highway from the beginning to the end. The section we missed will be covered with the return trip.
Next stop was The North Pole. We stopped to see Santa's house to talk to Santa about our grand-kids. He knew them from Gilbert and said they were on his good list so far this year.
I have one enemy that has followed us from Watson Lake and I think I will have to learn to live with this "sucker" all through Alaska. THE MOSQUITO! They are getting bigger and more hungry as we go. I bathe in repellent!
