|After a long but enjoyable stay in Mesa, we left there Thursday, April 28, bound for California. We stopped overnight at the WalMart in Palm Desert, California, just off of Dinah Shore Blvd, and then arrived Friday at Walnut RV Park in Northridge, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, and amazingly coincidentally immediately next door to our son Kevin's new home location.
In all of our previous visits to Kevin's neighborhood, we had never found this camgpround until we planned for this trip. He moved into his new home last weekend, so it came together well. The price is steeper than we would normally pay, but then this is suburban Los Angeles. Otherwise, the campground has been a nice park. We will definitely stay here for future visits to the area.
We saw Cameron play well in two exciting and successful baseball games Friday and Saturday; we saw Tori do a presentation at the end of her cheerleading clinic on Saturday, and we have just enjoyed our time together with the three of them.
We'll remain here through the weekend, leaving Sunday, headed northward through California. Cameron has two more games Friday and Saturday, I'm sure that we will have more pool time, meal time, and just fun time with them. Tori and Cameron have their birthdays Sunday and Monday, respectively, so we will do an early birthday celebration with them before we leave.
