My replacement Japanese family

Wild Probiscus Monkey

My Malaysian friends, Sue and Inoue

A family of Probiscus

Arrived 10th January

Departed 13th January

Felt so sad and lonely when I arrived having said goodbye to Vicki but after a couple of days of doing nothing, I pulled myself together and got back into traveller mode! I went on a river cruise on the Garama River to see the Probiscus monkey in the wild. There were 4 Japanese, 3 Koreans, 5 malaysians and little old me on the cruise! I thought it was going to be a nightmare but it turned out great! A couple of the Malaysian girls spoke really good English and both lived in Kota Kinabalu. They were really lovely. The Japanese family were also lots of fun even though they could barely speak a word of English… I had fun anyway ;-) The monkeys were out in force so we saw loads of them and after dinner we also saw a load of fire flies! I’ve never seen them before and they were amazing.
