Joe & Margret's Great Australian Adventure '11 travel blog

I think I could have waited till I got all these updates done and sent one message! sorry about that!

I do believe I am at the end of this cold!

Anyhow if years ago when Margret and I first married and didn't have two nickels to rub together, someone had told us we would be cruising the South Pacific I would have told them they were insane! Those days all we could afford was to go to airports and watch air traffic, or go to show homes. It was great entertainment by the way. Anyhow I digress.

Today we boarded a catamaran and sailed the South Pacific! Island hopping ending up at Malolo island for lunch and relaxation and a swim in the South Pacific. It is one of the Fijian Islands. We also saw where they filmed Tom Hanks in 'Castaway'.

We felt like we were in a movie, as we were standing on the pointy end of the catamaran with the wind blowing through our hair! Well at least Margrets.

On the way back we stayed inside in the Captains lounge where the heat wasn't,, and the drinks were free! Only 6 of us.

However I can't do it justice with words, hopefully I will be able to post pictures.

An interesting note,, We were on a bus this morning heading to the docks, when I noticed written on the windows of the bus ' in case of an emergency, break glass with a hammer'.... okay! I don't know if anyone else saw the irony in this or do all Fijians carry hammers?

Tonight will be rest and relaxation, and packing for tomorrows flight to Australia. Looking forward to see-ing Mike/Ali and Kids and whatever adventures lie before us.
